On the occasion of the 2024 Paris Olympics, Zak Group created the spatial design for SOUND. TRACK. SPACE., a multi-sensory experience at the Atelier Brancusi by Nike and Paulin, Paulin, Paulin that merged running, music, and innovative design.
The spatial design introduced a series of modular display panels that referenced the faceted shape of Paulin’s iconic Tapis-Siège, while custom light towers featured pulsing, vertically stacked LEDs — corresponding to a runner’s heartbeat. An abstracted running track guided visitors through the site to the exhibition’s central room: Paulin’s previously unreleased project Video Barnum (1985).
The four-day program included motivational visualisation sessions with athletes Mo Farah, Caster Semenya, and Colin Kaepernick and live sets by John Glacier, Twinsmatic, and Kiala Ogawa.
